NSS PATTAM crew:

Pat and Mat

Pat and Mat have 4 grown children. They grew up sailing the Caribbean from the Bahamas to Grenada and the east coast of the USA and Mexico on our sailboats. After each season we looked forward to returning to the Virgin Islands. Pat and Mat have cruised the Caribbean by sail and power since 1990. They also belong to a variety of yacht clubs in the USA and Canada. Their last boat was a 130’, 406 ton research vessel they used as a home and sailed throughout the east coast and the Caribbean. Pat and Mat can help you discover as much as you would like to or as little as you want.

Pat is a master chef by any measure. She learned her chef skills by starting a new restaurant in Connecticut and being both the chef and owner. Pat also entertained, catered and organized large parties in New England for many years. Pat’s love of good food, good wine and good friends has always been extraordinary, and it shows in her culinary creations.
Pat was born in and sailed in British Columbia. Later in life she sailed New England, the east coast, and then the Caribbean.
Pat has a Master US Coast Guard license, and is also the primary helmsperson on NSS Pattam, and can help you learn that skill during a charter.
Pat is also a certified diver, a member of an all women sailing association in Florida, loves to play tennis, scrabble and bridge.

Mat grew up in Venezuela and is fluent in Spanish, Italian and Hungarian. He owned his first sail boat at age 12, was a competitive swimmer, life guard, and has a Master US Coast Guard license, and is a certified diver. After military service, and an MBA from Columbia, he worked as a computer consultant, then started a business manufacturing construction materials, and has retired for some time.
